BREAKING: Kaduna Confirms Abduction Of Pupils, Teachers
Kaduna State government has confirmed the abduction of primary school pupils in the early hours of today.
Governor Nasir El-Rufai-led government has confirmed the abduction of pupils and teachers a primary school in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of the Kaduna State.
CityNews Nigeria recalls that bandits on Monday around 9 am stormed the primary school in Rama village and kidnapped an unspecified number of pupils and teachers.
The Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan in a statement said, “The Kaduna State Government is receiving security reports of kidnapping of some pupils and teachers in a primary school located in Rema, Birnin Gwari local government area.”
“According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred at an LEA Primary School in the LGA.”
He added that the state government is currently obtaining details on the actual number of pupils and teachers kidnapped.
Aruwan promised that it will issue a comprehensive statement as soon as possible.
