BREAKING: Osaka Wins 2021 Australian Open
Naomi Osaka has just won the Australian Open.
CityNews Nigeria reports that Osaka defeated Brady to win the women’s arm of the grand slam – her fourth grand slam title.
Osaka beat No. 22 seed Jennifer Brady 6-4, 6-3 in just over an hour on Rod Laver Arena , her performance was every bit as dominant as we have come to expect from the Japanese superstar.
The first set was close before Osaka burst away to a 4-0 lead in the second set with Brady left with too much to do in too little time.
Osaka had three championship points. She only needed one of them to become a four-time Grand Slam champion.
