BREAKING: Prof Banji Akintoye Declared Missing After Botched Yoruba Nation Declaration

Reports recahing the desk of CityNews Nigeria Have it that Professor Banji Akintoye has been declared missing.

CityNews Nigeria reports that the erudite scholar and Yoruba activist’s whereabouts is unknown after the botched rally he held in Ibadan under the auspices of Ilana Omo Oodua Group.

Recall that scores of protesters led by a Yoruba group, “Ilana Omo Oodua”, clamoring for self determination and ably led by Professor Banji Akintoye, a former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria had gathered at MApo Hall,Ibadan this morning for the declaration of Yoruba self-determination.

However, we learnt that the protest could not start until 11.am due to heavy security presence at the entrance and around Mapo Hall.

The protesters having sensed heavy security presence later mobilized to the front of Mapo to begin the protest and were briefly addressed by Akintoye.

However, CityNews Nigeria gathered that friends and family are worried at the moment as the erudite scholar’s whereabouts is unknown.
