Breaking: Shehu Sani Reacts To Killing Of Greenfield Varsity Students
Former Nigerian lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has condemned the killing of three of the students abducted from Greenfield University in Kaduna State.
CityNews Nigeria reports that three of the students abducted from the university on Tuesday night have been murdered by their captors.
In a statement on Friday, Kaduna State Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said the remains of the three students were found at Kwanar Bature village, a location close to the university, on Friday.
He added that Governor Nasir El-Rufai has condemned the killing of three students as sheer wickedness, inhumanity, and an outright desecration of human lives by vile entities.
Aruwan said the Governor, on behalf of the Government and people of Kaduna state, sent deep condolences and empathy to the students’ families and the university community, as he prayed for the repose of their souls.
The commissioner added that the government will keep citizens informed of further developments.
But in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Friday, Sani described as tragic the killing of three of the students of Greenfield University in Kaduna.
He prayed that their souls Rest In Peace, urging Nigerians to also pray for the lives of the two Nurses abducted at the Kajuru Hospital on Thursday.
He wrote, “It’s tragic to learn that three of the Students of the Kaduna Greenfield University were murdered by the Bandits who abducted them. My their souls Rest In Peace. Let’s pray for the lives of the two Nurses abducted at the Kajuru Hospital yesterday.”
