Don’t Cross The Red Line, Enwonwu warns Oyo END SARS Protesters
Oyo State Police Commissioner, Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu has warned End SARS Protesters in Oyo State not
to cross the red line.
This warning came as a result of intelligent reports available to the Command that protesters may unleash terror on innocent citizens.
According to the Oyo Police Command spokesman, Superintendent Fadeyi Gbenga, “The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu, psc wishes to state that since the commencement of the protest on “EndSARS,” the Command has been cooperating with the youths who has been protesting in Oyo State.
Also, the CP wishes to appreciate all those who has been carrying out the protest within the ambient of the law. But the protest is taking a new dimension as protesters are mapping out new strategy to carry out coordinated attacks on innocent citizens, Police stations and personnel.
As a result of this, the CP therefore enjoins Parents, guardian, traditional rulers, Community and religious leaders should talk to their children-wards to desist from act(s) that can be inimical to our cooperate interest.
The Command is battle ready to curtail their excesses and will not fold our arms and allow disgruntled elements, social miscreants to capitalize on the situation to unleash mayhem on innocent citizens as there are proper ways to channel their grievances.”
CP Enwonwu assures the good people of Oyo State to go about their lawful businesses without fear or molestations as adequate security measures has been emplaced for maximum safety of all and sundry.
