Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes, has advised the club to ensure that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer resists the temptation to rotate his team throughout the next six Premier League games.

Scholes says this is the only way for the team to end the 2019/20 season in a top-four position.

He said this ahead of Man United’s Premier League clash against Watford on Saturday evening.

Man United are currently the fifth position on the Premier League table with 2 points behind fourth-place Chelsea and three points behind third-place Leicester City.

“I think Man United will [finish in the top four”. They are going to have to win every game to do it, but if you look at the fixtures they are very winnable,” Scholes told BBC.

“If Ole can keep this team fit, the first XI that played the other night against Brighton, I don’t see a reason why not.

“I don’t think the squad is massively strong where he can leave players out and afford to give people rest for the FA Cup or the Europa League as it was.

“He needs to play his best team from now until the end of the season I think they’ll have a great chance.”
