BREAKING: 2023: Afenifere Didn’t Endorse Tinubu…Awolowo Won’t Forgive Me – Adebanjo

Ayo Adebanjo has said Afenifere has not endorsed Tinubu for 2023 presidency.

Leader of Yoruba pan socio-cultural group Afenifere,pa Ayo Adebanjo has said the group has not endorsed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as its candidate for 2023 general elections,City News Nigeria reports.

Adebanjo who spoke on Arise TV ‘The Morning Show’ said at no point did Afenifere endorsed Tinubu for 2023 presidency.

He said the last time Tinubu came to him was to condole with him on the demise of Yinka Odumakin,the late Publicity Secretary of Afenifere.

Speaking further, he said Tinubu and himself held a private discussion on the state of the nation but he was definitive by reiterating that he (and Afenifere) has not thrown their weight behind Tinubu. The sage said further that late Chief Obafemi Awolowo will never forgive him if he made any mistake about what he stood for when he was fighting for the unity of Nigeria.

He also used the opportunity to heap more pressure on Buhari government to restructure and do the needful as the country teeters on the brink.
