Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s Adviser, Ahmed Gulak Buried In Abuja
Late Ahmed Gulak has been buried in Abuja.
The remains of Ahmed Gulak, a former aide of President Goodluck Jonathan, have been laid to rest on Sunday night at the Gudu Cemetry in Abuja.
CityNews Nigeria reports that funeral prayers for the Adamawa-born politician were earlier conducted at the National Mosque, Abuja.
Gulak, it will be recalled was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Owerri, Imo State on Sunday while he was on his way to Abuja from Owerri.
The gunmen intercepted and attacked a Toyota Camry cab carrying Ahmed Gulak and two others at Umueze Obiangwu in Ngor-Okpala Local Government Area close to the Airport who were on their way to Sam Mbakwe Airport to catch a flight.
The spokesman of the state command, Bala Elkana, confirmed Gulak’s killing in a statement on Sunday afternoon.
“On the 30/5/2021, at about 07:20 am armed bandits intercepted and attacked a Toyota Camry cab carrying Ahmed Gulak and two others who were on their way to Sam Mbakwe Airport to catch a flight.
“The Commissioner of Police Imo, CP Abutu Yaro, has directed a discreet investigation into the matter as tactical and special forces have been deployed to cordon the area and arrest perpetrators,” the statement said.
