A post monitored by CityNews Nigeria on Daily Times quoted the co-covener of the Bring Back Our Girls Movement, as saying that the Chibok Girls kidnapping by Boko Haram terrorist was stagged to tarnish the image of the then President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, for Muhammadu Buhari to win election.

The statement from Ezekwesili read: “I was doing “Bring Back Our Girls” Project with Hadiza Usman Bala in 2014,”

“I didn’t know she was sent to the project by Fulani leaders to tarnish the image of Goodluck Jonathan for Muhammadu Buhari to win an election. Immediately after the election, she left the project and was given appointments as MD Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

“Now I believe that “Chibok Girls Kidnapping” was planned to tarnish Goodluck Jonathan’s image for Muhammadu Buhari to win the election,” Ezekwesili further alleged.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari-led government barely a week ago said the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, Hadiza Bala-Usman, remain suspended from office until the outcome of the investigation being done by the panel.
The Federal Government had inaugurated a panel of enquiry on the management of the NPA and ordered the panel to investigate the policies of Bala-Usman, who was suspended for allegedly failing to make required remittances to the Consolidated Revenue Fund.

This is coming after the Federal Ministry of Transportation condemned a report that linked the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, to two Chinese firms that submitted bids to manage some port channels which was allegedly against due process.

Though Usman has denied allegations of flouting rules and regulations of the agency. Reacting to allegations against her in a statement days ago, Usman described the allegation of flouting NPA rules in favour of Dangote Group or any other company as false and mischievous.

She also denied claims that NPA under her watch exempted Dangote Group from paying statutory charges at the Onne Ports, Rivers state.
