How Police Stopped Cultists Plot In Osun
The police in Iree, Osun State, have been able to apprehended four suspected cultists planning to unleash mayhem within the state.
The suspects were said to have been arrested by the men of the Anti-Cultism Unit of the state police command in their hideout following a tip-off.
A source in Iree, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the suspects had been moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Osogbo for further action.
When contacted for confirmation, the spokesperson for the command, Yemisi Opalola, said the suspects were arrested last Friday in Iree.
She stated, “Upon the information received on Friday, February 12, men of Anti-Cultism Unit from the State Criminal Investigation Department swooped on the suspects and effected their arrest.
“Those arrested are Akintade Wisdom, Sodiq Opeyemi, Olayinka Fadeyi and Azeez Olalekan. Upon interrogation, we discovered that they are not students of the polytechnic, but their mission was to cause chaos on the campus. They were immediately handed over to operatives
