Just In: Gridlock On Lagos/Ibadan Expressway After Fuel Tanker Caught Fire
CityNews Nigerria reports that a fuel tanker at 6 am on Wednesday morning caught fire at the Magboro section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
It was gathered that although firefighters have arrived at the scene of the incident, the fire outbreak has caused massive gridlock at Magboro.
The tanker also spilled some of its content to the other side of the expressway – leading inward to Lagos.
This is coming barely 25 days after a fuel-laden tanker caught at the Kara end of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed that no fewer than two persons died with 29 vehicles burnt in the November 7 incident.
