Local council chairman in Lagos dies of COVID -19
The chairman of Onigbongbo local council development area (LCDA) of Lagos state, Babatunde Oke, has died of COVID-19.
The late Oke died in the early hours of Wednesday, August 12.
According to reports, Oke, who was serving his second term as the council chairman, had been ill for some time but recovered before the Sallah break. He relapsed after the celebrations and was taken to the hospital where he died today.
His death comes two months after Augustine Arogundade, chairman of Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA, died of COVID-19.
