Nigeria now has over 53,000 confirmed Covid-19 cases…Lagos tops with 18,083
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday night, announced 160 new COVID-19 cases.
The new cases were reported from 15 states: Plateau (44), Lagos (27), Katsina (18), Edo (15), FCT (14), Ondo (10), Oyo (9) and Kwara (6).
Others states include Abia (4), Nasarawa (4), Kano (3), Ekiti (2), Kaduna (2), Kebbi (1) and Ogun (1).
It brought the total in the country to 53,477, six months after the index case was diagnosed.
Out of that number, 41,017 patients have been discharged and 1,011 deaths have been recorded.
Lagos still has the highest number with 18,083, while Kogi has reported only five.
