EPL:Nigerian goalkeeper, defender sign contracts with West Ham Utd
Golden Eaglets goalkeeper, Jinadu Daniel, has signed his first professional contract with West Ham United.
Daniel and another Nigerian defender, Joshua Okotcha, have also signed for the Premier League side.
West Ham disclosed this in a statement on its official website on Wednesday night.
Reacting to this development, West Ham academy manager, Ricky Martin, who expressed happiness, said the players deserved the contracts.
Martin told the club’s official website: “This is a tremendous achievement. All our young players aspire to be offered a professional contract, and these players have all deservedly been rewarded for their efforts and development to date.”
Also reacting, Daniel, who will turn 18 in a few days, wrote on his Instagram page: “Dream come true and proud moment for my family and me signing my first professional contract at West Ham. The hard work continues! All the glory to God!”
