Ondo:Sex workers and their clients arrested for flouting lockdown order
No fewer than 18 commercial s.e,x workers have been arrested in Ondo State for flouting the state government’s lockdown order put in place to prevent the spread of Coronavirus in the state.
Doyin Odebowale, Chairman of the Special Task Force on COVID-19 Enforcement and Compliance in the state, who confirmed this to newsmen, said the s.e.x workers alongside five of their clients were arrested at a brothel in Shasha, an area in Akure, the state capital.
Odebowale revealed that the s3x workers have been quarantined and their blood samples collected for tests in order to determine their health status.
“They have been together and they are in a high rise situation, so we have to invite our health expert through the state epidemiologist to ascertain their health status.” he said.
