Paternity Scandal: FCMB Reacts To Sexual Misconduct Allegations Against MD, Adam Nuru

The management of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has finally reacted to the alleged paternity scandal involving its Managing Director, Adam Nuru.

Recall that CityNews Nigeria had reported that over 1000 people have signed a petition asking the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to sack Nuru over “unethical grounds.”

According to the petition initiated on Wednesday, the FCMB MD was allegedly responsible for the demise of Tunde Thomas, who said to have died of depression on December 16.

According to the petition, Nuru allegedly had an affair with Moyo Thomas, the deceased’s wife, resulting in two children. As of the time of filing this report, over 2,000 people have signed the petition.

The petition initiated by a group called Justice for Tunde Thomas and addressed to CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, and the FCMB’s board described the case as “an unjustifiable economic oppression by the elites against the less privileged in the society.”

But in a statement on its Twitter page on Saturday, the bank said it is reviewing the alleged paternity scandal involving Its MD, saying that the reports making the rounds about Nuru are duly noted.

The bank, however, said that its findings would be made available in due course after the conclusion of the investigation.

The statement reads: “We are aware of several stories circulating across several media platforms about our bank’s Managing Director Adam Nuru, a former employee Ms Moyo Thomas and her deceased ex-husband, Mr Tunde Thomas.

“While this is a personal matter the tragedy of the death of Mr Tunde Thomas and the allegations of unethical conduct, require the banks board to conduct a review of what transpired, any violations of our code of ethics and the adequacy of these code of conduct ethics. This will be done immediately.

“We enjoin all our stakeholders to bear with us as we conduct this review and to please respect the various families involved.”
