Queen ‘reunited with William, Kate Middleton and kids for first time in six months’
The Queen held a socially-distanced reunion with William and Kate and their children at Balmoral, according to reports.
The monarch, 94, had not seen her oldest grandson and his family since March, when the coronavirus lockdown was brought in.
It also meant she could spend time with her great-grandchildren George, seven, Charlotte, five, and Louis, two.
William and Kate were said to be “over the moon” after being able to see the Queen and the 99-year-old Duke of Edinburgh.
A source told The Sun : “Like every family, they’ve been desperate to get back together and over the moon it was possible this weekend.
“They’ve all been up there for a few days and although there are very strict procedures with social distancing, they’ve been able to find ways of seeing each other outside.
“It’s obviously been a difficult year for the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh seeing the country dealing with the pandemic, so they were all keen to go there to show their support.”
Also visiting the royal estate in Scotland this weekend were Prince Edward, Sophie Wessex and Princess Anne, it is reported.
And Princess Eugenie is said to have visited Balmoral with husband Jack Brooksbank earlier this month.
