Twitter Boss, Jack Dorsey Drums Support For #EndSARS Protest
Twitter chief executive officer, Jack Dorsey has thrown his weight behind protest against police brutality and call for the disbandment of special anti-robbery squad (SARS).
SARS is a controversial unit under the Nigerian police, it is notorious for all manner of nefarious action. Men of the unit extort, harass, intimidate, arbitrarily arrest and, in many cases, engage in extrajudicial killing of young people.
In a tweet on Wednesday night, Jack lent is voice to the widespread protest against police brutality and public agitation for comprehensive police reform.
The tech guru tweeted a link to a news article chronicling the protest and atrocities of SARS operatives.
He also share a link for to a bitcoin donation, calling on people to step in the fray and support the cause by donating bitcoins.
