UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres Reacts To ”Unrest” In Nigeria
Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations has reacted to the escalating violence in the country. He called on the Government to investigate and hold perpetrators accountable,CityNews Nigeria reports.
This is coming after thugs yesterday went berserk destroying government properties after soldiers allegedly opened fire on peaceful protesters at Lekki toll gate on Tuesday.
Reacting on Twitter, he wrote; ”I condemn the escalation of violence in Lagos, Nigeria, which has resulted in multiple deaths & injuries. I call for demonstrations to be peaceful and for an end to reported police brutality and abuses.

”Authorities must investigate these incidents & hold perpetrators accountable” he tweeted.
