Presidency and senate are now at loggerheads over Covid-19 vaccine as there are now dissenting views about whether the country should do ahead with vaccinating her populace en masse or not.

CityNews Nigeria had earlier reported that  Nigeria has taken delivery of some Covid-19 vaccines and the federal government is raring to go as far as vaccinating Nigerians is concerned,but according to feelers from the nations’ corridors of power ; there is serious controversy surrounding federal government move to go ahead with vaccinating Nigerians.

CityNews Nigeria sources say the leadership of the senate has expressd some reservations about how to manage the vaccination as Nigeria lacks the resources to effectively to it.

Another source informed CN about how Buhari’s closest allies are raring to go  they want the federal government to speedily roll out the vaccines to Nigerians – especially the most vulnerable.

At the Senate, we gathered that the whole house is polarised between the lawmakers that are rooting for the vaccine to be deployed and the ones that are strongly against because ‘the whole thing might be bungled due to poor execution.

And just this morning, Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello expressed reservations about Covid-19 vaccine whilst speaking on CHANNELSTV ‘Sunrise Show’. He said he did not see the reason why the federal government is rushing to procure the Covid-19 en masse.He was very definitely when he said ‘I don’t think the PTF should go head with Covid-19 vaccine,it’s my personal opinion’
