Why Gov Abdulrazaq Withdraws Woman Commissioner Nominee, Saba Margret

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State has withdrawn the woman commissioner nominee whose name was submitted alongside four others to the state House of Assembly for screening and approval.

Saba Margret was originally nominated for Edu Local Government Area of the state but as at the time of filing this report, no reason was given for the withdrawal of her name by the governor.

Saba Issa Gideon, another candidate from the same local government, has been nominated to replace her.

The development was transmitted to the House by the governor through the Speaker, Engr Yakubu Danladi Salihu on Thursday.

CityNews Nigeria  reports that the Speaker had on Tuesday asked the five commissioner nominees to appear on Thursday before the House with their credentials for the screening exercise.

Recall that Saba Margret was one of the five additional commissioner nominees whose names were transmitted to the state legislature for screening and approval.

The other four commissioner nominees include Deborah Aremu (Irepodun), Remilekun Oluwatobi (Isin), Ibrahim Suleiman (Ilorin West), and Ahmed Maryam Hassan, (Patigi).
