Why I Named My Crown Prince After Sir Adesoji Aderemi – Ooni Of Ife

Ooni Of Ife has explained why he named his new crownprince after late Adesoji Aderemi.

CityNews Nigeria recalls that Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, who is the Arole Oduduwa & Ooni of Ife, on Wednesday fulfilled his promise to name his newly born prince after his predecessor, Sir Tadenikawo Adesoji Aderemi.

Ooni said he named his son after Ooni Aderemi as a mark of love and in appreciation of his good works.

Speaking further,Ooni Ogunwusi said; “Among several tangible virtues to be emulated from the good life of Sir Aderemi is the good name he left behind which still speaks volume till date. Houses, cars, and other material gains of life will surely fade away while one’s name remains in the book of history forever’’.

Ooni Ogunwusi who had pledged to name his prince after the 49th Ooni of the 3rd dynasty and First African Governor of the old Western Region in Nigeria, Sir Tadenikawo Adesoji Aderemi who reigned from 1930 to 1980 said the late Ooni of ife represented the finest of characters and everything good in humanity.

Ooni Ogunwusi’s crownprince will be unveiled to the public in the next 20 days.
