A Peoples Democratic Party Chieftain and Chairman, House of Representatives’ Committee on Rural Development in the 8th National Assembly, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu has felicitated with Muslim faithfuls in Ogun State and Nigeria at large in celebration of Eid-El-Maulud.
This annual celebration of the birth of PROPHET MUHAMMAD (Peace Be Unto Him) by Islamic faithfuls all over the world always call for total reflection and the need to appreciate what Prophet Muhammad (SAW) represents in Islam.
“I am pleading with you all, to use this opportunity to plead with ALLAH, the Most Beneficent and Mercyful to forgive our sins, wipe away our secret tears and heal our land. While we all must search our individual inner mind to purge ourselves of all iniquities in order to be worthy of ALLAH’S Raman, Adebutu stated”
Adebutu further enjoins Muslim Umar to emulate the teachings of the Holy Prophet and that of the Qur’an which serves as a torch for all. ” I appeal with us all to imbibe meekness, service to God and humanity, as Islam is a religion of peace. It is my prayer that peace will never cease in Ogun State and Nigeria at large “, Adebutu concluded.
