The Chairman of The Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Victor Murako says state Governments must domesticate the Fiscal Responsibility Law in the interest of good governance.
He made the remark in Abuja when a delegation of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum met with him to explore areas of collaboration.
Only 18 states have been able to domesticate the Fiscal Responsibility law in their domain.
Murako advised the NGF to commence the domestication on regional basis before taking on states.
The Director General of NGF, Mr. Asishana Okauru says it is imperative for the Fiscal Responsibility to collaborate with state governments as there is a nexus between the mandate of the Commission and that of NGF.
