Breaking: Shekarau Defects To NNPP,Visits Kwankwaso (Photos)
Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso has welcomed Senator Ibrahim Shekarau to the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
CityNews Nigeria reports that Kwankwaso visited Shekarau to congratulate him after he decamped from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the NNPP on Tuesday.
It will be recalled that this online platform had earlier reported that former Kano State Governor, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau has officially dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) and joined the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
The development was confirmed on Tuesday afternoon via a terse statement on the official Twitter handle of the NNPP.
The statement which reads: “Finally: Sen Ibrahim Shekarau Join Us” was shared alongside a picture of Senator Shekarau and Senator Ibrahim Kwankwaso.
In another update, the party also revealed that Kwankwaso has visited Shekarau to welcome him to the NNPP and congratulate him on his defection.
Sharing the photos on its official Twitter handle, the NNPP wrote: “His Excellency Engr Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso paid a congratulatory visit today to former Gov (Sen) Ibrahim Shekarau after he decamped to NNPP.”
The pictures also show former lawmaker, Abdulmumin Jibrin who also recently dumped the APC for the NNPP.

It will be recalled that Jibrin, until his defection was the campaign director for the 2023 presidential ambition of the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
