Nollywood: Kemi Afolabi seeks help for her daughter

Yoruba Nollywood actress Kemi Afolabi has sought help on behalf of her daughter, Darasimi, who is in Nigeria.

Thisonline medium reports that the mother of one who had been receiving special treatment in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, returned to social media with a video of herself looking fit and healthy.

Kemi Afolabi shared a caption on social media seeking assistance from Nigerians in the United States who would travel down to the country.

The actress is seeking help to send gifts for her daughter, who will resume school soon.

She wrote: Anyone in Maryland USA leaving to Nigeria this weekend or max next week?
Help me take something to my daughter for school Edakun.

Nigerians have taken to her comment section to render help and assistance.

Recall that Kemi Afolabi shared beautiful photos of herself and her daughter, Darasimi, on Instagram, accompanied by a diamond caption that notified all of how priceless her daughter is.

Nollywood artistes such as Yewande Adekoya, Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Aigbe, Itele, Esther Kaslejaiye, Taiwo Bola, and others took to Kemi Afolabi’s timeline to shower her with love and prayers.

This online medium also reported on March 11, 2022, that Kemi Afolabi opened up on her discovery of lupus and what she had been through.

The beautiful Yoruba actress made this known to the public via an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, where she disclosed that she had been diagnosed with lupus and had just five more years to live.

“I have lupus. It’s not curable. You just have to take medications for the rest of your life. At a point I was exhausted after spending so much, I said i will stop and just wait for death to come ….but I brazed up for my daughter and have to continue spending the N1.2million on the medication doze weekly to survive….I have sold my cars, property, capital for business etc…..and Funke Akindele has been helpful, Toyin Abraham, Mercy Aigbe and others reached out and have been there…but I still need more support to be able to continue with my medication…”.

Since then, many of her colleagues and fans have shown love and support to Kemi Afolabi even as she battles the sickness.
