Popular Ondo socialite, Adelabu Emirate, kills wife and commits suicide

A socialite and petrol station owner in Akure, the Ondo State capital, Sesan Adelabu, popularly known as Emirate, has allegedly macheted his wife to death.

According to reports, after he murdered his wife, the deceased took his own life by drinking an insecticide.

It was further gathered that the incident happened on Friday night, February 9, in the Alagbaka area of Akure. The deceased was the owner of the Emirate Filling Stations in Akure.

His remains and that of his wife were said to have been deposited in a morgue.

 

When contacted, the state police spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the incident. She said that the socialite murdered his wife and thereafter committed suicide by drinking sniper.

Odunlami added that police detectives have started their investigation into the matter.
