The Uhonmora Progressive Union, Worldwide has inaugurated its new executives that would pilot the activities of the body for the next three years.
The inauguration which took place at the Ultra-modern Community Civic Center was attended prominent sons and daughters of Uhonmora, including the Speaker of the Edo state House of Assembly, Honourable Blessing Agbebaku.
In his remarks the speaker charged the newly elected executives to work towards the overall good of the community while assuring that he would do more for the community.
Honourable Blessing Promises to build more classrooms for the Uhonmora Secondary Commercial School and work towards addressing water problems that has remained a challenge for the community for decades.
In his inaugural speech, the New President , Uhonmora Progressive Union , Worldwide, Comrade Ikharo Attah appealed to descendants of the community, both at home and in diaspora to close ranks and work together for the development of the community.
In his words, “ we must all come home regularly , believe in our collective nativity and communal values and heritage. Let us speak well about our community and paint it in good light at all Times”
Attah who described the community as blessed land of immense prospects praised past Leaders of the Association for building a solid foundation on which the body currently stands
