Fresh from the Bash in Berlin, WWE entertainment continues this Friday with a massive build-up to the premium “Bad Blood” event in October. This edition of Friday Night SmackDown could seal two big matches for Bad Blood. GOtv will air the action live from Edmonton, on the WWE Network Channel (GOtv ch 68), at 00:45 am on Saturday. Here’s a glimpse of the matchday card:
Vinci Returns: After a nearly five-month absence, WWE has confirmed that the Italian, Giovanni Vinci, will return on SmackDown this Friday. He’s been away since an angle where he was attacked by Ludwig Kaiser and kicked out of Imperium this April. Vinci said this is not a return, but his “arrival”. Will this be a remarkable night for him? Tune in to find out.
Tag Team Match: An eight-man tag team match is also scheduled for this edition. The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa) vs. The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) & DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa). This promises to be a long intriguing match.
Cody Rhodes Appearance: “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, will also be involved in SamckDown action this week. The WWE Universal Champion, fresh off of his latest title defense over Kevin Owens at WWE Bash In Berlin, will respond to the challenge from Solo Sikoa. Would both settle for the Extreme Rules Match at Bad Blood or will Rhodes decline the challenge? Tune in to see the outcome.
Women’s Title Challenge: Having lost the title to Nia Jax at SummerSlam, Bayley is set to feature on this edition of SmackDown. She is expected to challenge the Women’s champion to another title fight at “Bad Blood”. This could end up being more than just a challenge.
