A Lagos State Chief Magistrate Court in Ogba has ordered the remand in prison custody of the suspected killer of a local government staffer, Kazeem Idowu Keshinro.
The four suspects Mukaila Salau known as PKA Actor, Tiyamiyu Ahmed, Wasiu Suleimon, and Ibrahim Ekemode were docked before Magistrate Lateef Owolabi on two count charges.
According to the charges filed by the Police, the suspects on the 1st April 2024 at about 0900hrs at Otta Ikosi Agbowa in the Lagos Magisterial district did conspire amongst themselves to commit Robbery and thereby committed an offence Contrary to Section 299 of the Criminal Laws Cap. Ch.Vol.3 Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
In the second charge, they were alleged to have unlawfully killed Idowu Keshinro (m) and thereby committed an offence Contrary to Section 233 of the Criminal Laws Cap. Ch.Vol.3 Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
Following the nature of the offence, the state counsel who represented the office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions prayed for a remand order pending when the office would issue legal advice for their arraignment at the state High Court.
Magistrate Owolabi granted the request and ordered that the suspect should be remanded in Kirikiri prison for thirty days for issuance of DPP Legal Advice.
The matter was subsequently adjourned till October 10 for mention.
It would be recalled that Kazeem Idowu, who was also described as a hunter and staffer of Ikosi-Ejirin local government, had in a chilling video where he could be seen soaking in his pool of blood and his body riddled with bullets, recounted how he went on hunting activities in the Ota area of Ikorodu, Lagos State when he was suddenly ambushed, attacked, shot severally and machete on the orders of one Mukaila Salau aka Actor, a notorious land grabber who was physically present at the scene.
