The Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq today visited the Nigerian Army Headquarters in Abuja to pay his last respects to the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja ¹.
” I want to acknowledge the remarkable service and dedication of the late Chief of Army Staff to our nation’s sovereignty and peace. His commitment to security and defense will always be remembered. I offer my heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, and the men and women of the Nigerian Army. May his soul rest in peace.
The Nigerian Army has a long history of protecting the country, and the late Chief of Army Staff’s contributions will not be forgotten. The Army has been involved in various operations, including the Nigerian Civil War and peacekeeping missions in other countries ¹.
As the Chairman of the NGF, I recognize the importance of the Nigerian Army’s role in maintaining peace and security in our country. I pledge to continue supporting the Army in their efforts to protect our nation.
Once again, I offer my condolences to the family and colleagues of the late Chief of Army Staff. May his legacy continue to inspire and motivate the Nigerian Army to defend our nation’s sovereignty.
