Jubilation as Wumi Toriola bags 2024 box office champion award

Congratulations have been pouring in for Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola as she bags a box office award.

Wumi Toriola took to her Instagram page to share the news with her fans and followers. She announced the latest achievement added to the success of her cinema debut.

Recall that Wumi Toriola debuted her film, Queen Lateefah in the Cinema in September 2024 and she has recorded success so far for a first timer.

She was just awarded as the box office champion of 2024 by the National Film and Video Censors Board, NFVCB. The award was to specially recognise Wumi Toriola.

Kemi Filani recalls that Wumi Toriola reached a milestone of over over three hundred million records in the box office. A swift race to beat Funke Akindele’s box office records despite the huge margin.

Akindele is sitting pretty as the first, second and third on the Nigeria box office with her movies, A Tribe Called Judah, Battle On Buka Street and Omo Ghetto The Saga, respectively.
