The Lagos State Central Sand And Granite Suppliers Association, Eti-Osa district, has launched its inaugural LASCESGRA Week, a vibrant celebration of community, empowerment, and recognition.
At a press conference held at the LASCESGRA complex in Ajah on Monday, December 9, 2024, Chairman Alhaji Raufu Ishola Abass unveiled an exciting lineup of activities for the week.
“We are thrilled to host our first LASCESGRA Week, showcasing our commitment to our members and the community,” said Alhaji Raufu Ishola Abass.
The week’s activities include:
– *Health Empowerment Day*: Tuesday, offering free health benefits to members and the community at Ajah bus stop
– *Sports Day*: Wednesday, promoting physical fitness and teamwork
– *Environmental Sanitation Day*: Thursday, focusing on cleaning and beautifying the environment
– *Workshop and Charity Donation Day*: Friday, providing training and giving back to the community
– *Social, Beauty Pageant, and Awards Night*: Saturday, celebrating members’ achievements and showcasing talent
The Eti-Osa Local Government, Eco Bank, Ilera Fagba Foundation, and other partners have supported this year’s edition.
He noted that this maiden edition is to create awareness for the people to know us better in Eti-Osa and Lagos state at large and for our clients to see that we are also involved in contributing to the growth of the communities.
As part of the celebration, the Ilera Fagba Foundation will offer free eye tests and general medical tests to LASCESGRA members and the community on Tuesday. Eye glasses will be provided to those in need at a subsidized rate of N5,000.
The association will also honor hardworking and diligent members with awards, recognizing their contributions to the community.
