Mudashiru Obasa, the former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has officially announced his return to the position, stating that he has resumed his duties as Speaker.
Obasa made the declaration on Thursday after arriving at the Assembly complex, accompanied by police officers and agents from the State Security Service (SSS). This marks his first appearance at the Assembly since his impeachment on January 13.
“I’ve resumed, and I remain the Speaker of the Assembly,” Obasa declared confidently, signaling his return to the leadership of the House.
