Perturbed by the pathetic State of the nation’s economy, which is having a toll on the citizens, with the purcahsing power of the Naira losing its value.
Oluwadamilola Michael Moronfolu with the moniker, Fele and Oprah Jay, is however bent on putting smiles on the faces of the needy, downtrodden and less privileged.
In giving the aforementioned a sense of belonging, Moronfolu has through his Oprah Jay Foundation put smiles on their faces through palliatives and empowerment.
His philanthropic gestures in Alimosho Local Government Area and its environs has seen him contributed his quota in eradicating poverty through empowerment programmes, Cash donations to entrepreneurs in boosting their businesses and sharing of Joint Admission Matriculation Board, JAMB, forms to prospective Tertiary Institutions Students seeking admission.
Moronfolu’s outreach program has seen him put smiles on the face of Widows and Widowers alike.
“It has been an age long dream to impact my society, especially the needy, less privileged and widows, putting smiles on their faces, giving them a sense of belonging and instilling confidence and self esteem in them.
“Giving has been part of me. I am member of Ikeja New Era Lions Club, and if you are conversant with Lion Club, you will know it is synonymous with giving”, he said.
The philanthropist is also the Team Owner of Opray Jay FC, a Football Club that is presently jostling for honours at the 2025 Gospel Footy League (Season 4).
The Graduate of Political Science from the Tai-Solarin University of Education is optimistic that his Team will emerge winner in the Six Team League that began on 22nd February, 2025, with Opray Jay FC playing a goalless draw against Victory FC.
Aside playing in the League, Oprah Jay FC also has a Football Academy in which young talents are been identified, discovered, nurtured, groomed and showcased to the world.
“This is another avenue which I believe I can take miscreants and hooligans off the street. With their God’s given talent, they can showcase their ability and carve a niche for themselves.
“This will help in eradicating crime from our environment”.
The former Secretary of Ikeja New Era Lion Club said his aspiration is to positively impact his environment, most especially Alimosho LG Area and its environs.
