Ilobu/Ifon Communal Clash : Your Allegations Are Baseless And Unfounded – Erin-Osun Vanguards To Ilobu

It has come to our attention that following the communal clash between Ifon-Osun and Ilobu communities in Osun State, Ilobu town has released a press statement alleging that the people of Erin-Osun have now joined forces with Ifon-Osun town to attack Ilobu town.

The Erin-Osun Vanguards would like to state that we have nothing to do with the latest communal clash that happened between Ilobu and Ifon-Osun towns that resulted in loss of lives and property on both sides.

We would like to state that Erin-Osun people are peaceful and law-abiding and we are not easily provoked. Let us state categorically that this latest communal clash has got nothing to do with us and we are not taking sides with either of the towns.


We call on the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the government of Osun State under the able leadership of Governor Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke to conduct thorough investigations into the communal clash whilst we (the people of Erin-Osun and the Erin-Osun Vanguards)would like to state that we are not involved in the communal clash.

Finally, we implore the people of Ilobu and her leaders of thought to desist from this campaign of calumny and smear campaign against the peace-loving people of Erin-Osun forthwith as we would  seek for redress from a competent court of law if this smear campaign is sustained.
