Oworoshoki, Lagos State – His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Saliu, Elebo II, the respected Oloworo of Oworoshoki, has sent his warm Eid el-Fitr greetings to Muslims around the world as they celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement issued and made available to NEWSEXTRA, Oba Babatunde Saliu emphasized the significance of Ramadan, describing it as a time of spiritual growth, self-discipline, and deep reflection. The monarch noted that the fasting period is not only a way to get closer to Allah but also an opportunity for Muslims to strengthen their bonds with family, friends, and the community.
“This year’s Eid el-Fitr is a moment of joy, peace, and gratitude. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all Muslim faithful in Oworoshoki, Lagos State, and beyond as we celebrate the successful completion of Ramadan,” said Oba Babatunde Saliu, Elebo II. “The lessons we have learned during Ramadan are precious and should not be forgotten. The holy month teaches us patience, kindness, empathy, and devotion, values that we must continue to uphold in our daily lives.”
The Oloworo of Oworoshoki urged Muslims to carry forward the spirit of unity, love, and respect that was nurtured during the fasting period. He encouraged the faithful to continue to grow spiritually and maintain close ties with their families and communities, as these relationships are vital in fostering a peaceful and harmonious society.
“Let us all remain steadfast in our faith, compassionate towards others, and committed to the teachings of Islam. Ramadan has brought us closer to Allah, and it has also reminded us of the importance of compassion, charity, and togetherness,” he added.
As the Eid celebrations unfold, Oba Babatunde Saliu prayed for continued peace, prosperity, and good health for all Muslims, as well as for the growth and development of Oworoshoki and Nigeria as a whole.
The message from the Oloworo serves as a call for reflection on the spiritual and communal lessons of Ramadan, encouraging all Muslims to apply these lessons throughout the year.
