Dada Osisi Family Declares Ownership of Ikangba Land, Accuses Fibiwoga Family of Fraudulent Claims

The Dada Osisi family of Ikangba has firmly asserted their rightful ownership of the Ikangba land in Odogbolu Local Government Area, debunking claims made by the Fibiwoga family and Obatop Properties.

” Adekunle Adefowokan, a representative of the Dada Osisi family, has called out the Fibiwoga family for fraudulent actions involving a fake survey plan, which was used in an attempt to lay claim to the land “.

In a statement issued to the press, Adefowokan explained that ” the Fibiwoga family came forward with a court verdict on May 10, 2022, falsely claiming ownership of the land. They caused significant damage in the area during their encroachment, prompting the Dada Osisi family to petition the Anti-Fraud Unit at Alagbon “.

” The Fibiwoga family was arrested, and an undertaking was signed, promising to restore all damages caused on the land. Adefowokan confirmed that the case was forwarded to the Department of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in Abeokuta, which resulted in a ban on both parties from accessing the land “.

” As part of the agreement, Moshood Lawal, the head of the Fibiwoga family, committed to the immediate removal of a signpost erected by Obatop Properties, which falsely indicated ownership of the land. However, further investigation revealed that the survey plan presented by the Fibiwoga family was fraudulent, and the land they claimed was, in fact, government property”.

” In response, the Ogun State Government confirmed the authenticity of the Dada Osisi family’s survey claim to the Ikangba land. The Fibiwoga family and Obatop Properties have since been arrested and charged with fraud and attempted murder, and the case remains ongoing in court Adekunle Adefowokan said “.

” Adefowokan further emphasized the importance of clarifying the ownership of the Ikangba land, urging Nigerians, especially Ogun State indigenes, to recognize that the Dada Osisi family holds the legitimate rights survey to the property in question. He categorically stated that the fraudulent claims of the Fibiwoga family do not have any legal standing”.

The Ogun State Government has also taken action to address the issue. On Sunday, April 3, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade, issued a strong warning to both the Fibiwoga family and Obatop Properties, accusing them of land grabbing and attempting to unlawfully seize government-acquired land in the Odogbolu Local Government area.

In a statement released by the Ministry of Justice, Ogungbade reiterated the government’s commitment to protecting the state’s land resources from illegal acquisitions. He stated that Ogun State’s vast land, with its industrial corridors and proximity to Lagos, has attracted land grabbers who employ various fraudulent tactics to secure ownership. The government emphasized that it would not be manipulated into relinquishing any part of its acquired land.

The statement concluded by reaffirming that the Fibiwoga family’s attempts to stake a claim to government land were fraudulent and that the government would take all necessary measures to prevent such illegal actions.

Ogun State Government remains firm in its resolve to ensure that all land grabbing activities are curtailed, and it calls on all parties involved in land disputes to respect the legal processes and avoid resorting to illegal means to claim ownership.
