The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’adu Abubakar III, was hosted by President Bola Tinubu at the State House Abuja.
The visit was disclosed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a post on his X handle on Sunday.
According to Onanuga, the Sultan, who is also the President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, met with the president at the State House in Abuja on March 15.
Details of the meeting were not immediately disclosed as of the time of filing this report.
This meeting comes as the Ramadan fasting period draws to a close.
