APC fixes date for presidential Primary, pegs form at N100m

The All Progressives Congress has unveiled its schedule ahead of the 2027 general elections, setting its presidential primary election for May 15 and 16, 2026

In the timetable endorsed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms will commence on April 25 and end on May 2 at the party’s National Secretariat. Aspirants are expected to return completed forms on or before May 4.

The cost of the presidential form has been fixed at N100 million, broken down into N30 million for expression of interest and N70 million for nomination.

 

Those seeking governorship tickets will pay N50 million, while aspirants for the Senate, House of Representatives, and State Houses of Assembly will purchase forms at N20 million, N10 million, and N6 million respectively.

Screening of all aspirants is scheduled to take place between May 6 and May 8, with results to be announced on May 11. Any appeals arising from the screening process will be handled between May 12 and May 13.
