In a statement by his media aide, Francis Nwaze, Umahi said the move reflects a commitment to consolidating the administration’s achievements. He highlighted ongoing road construction and rehabilitation projects as central to economic growth.
Umahi said the government has laid a strong foundation for further development and that Tinubu is well positioned to complete key initiatives. He also urged Nigerians to support consistent leadership to achieve long-term national goals.
Earlier, lawmaker James Faleke obtained the APC expression of interest and nomination forms on behalf of the president in Abuja, signalling the start of the re-election process.
The forms, priced at N100 million, were issued by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu.
