BREAKING:2027: Makinde declares for presidency as PDP, APM join forces

A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP backed by the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and the Allied Peoples’ Movement, APM, has strengthened opposition collaboration ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The two opposition parties on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Seyi Bamidele signed the MoU on behalf of the PDP, while Oladele Oyadeji signed for the APM.

Governor Makinde and the National Chairman of the APM, Yusuf Dantalle, also signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.

This is even as the Oyo State Governor declared his intention to join the 2027 presidential race.

Political observers say the declaration positions the Oyo governor as one of the leading contenders in early permutations for the 2027 presidential race,
