Olomu Kingdom Sets Up 20-Man Committee To Resolve Looming Crisis – Bishop Owholo

Bishop James Owholo of of Faith and Light Crusaders Ministry Inc. Intl, has disclosed that the Olomu kingdom in Ughelli South Council Area of Delta State has set up a 20-man committee to resolve the looming crisis in kingdom.

Owholo gave the hints in Ughelli said that the 2020 annual prayer day of the people of Olomu Kingdom has being postponed to avert the impending crisis arising from changing of name Olomu secondary school to Agbon college Oterere-Olomu.

The cleric, who is the Chairman Olomu Kingdom Christian Fellowship International (OKCFI), told Newsmen of the indefinite postponement of the 2020 Olomu prayer day stating the issue of the change of the Olomu school name to Monarch Name was causing tension in the kingdom.

Bishop disclosed that Olomu Kingdom have set-up a 20-man Committee to look into the issue saying if Olomu people cannot resolve the issue then they will invite Delta State Governor to step-in.

He said that the earlier meeting of Olomu women at Akperhe-Olomu in Ughelli South LGA of Delta State, the Olomu women have vowed to disrupt the Olomu Day of prayer unless the Olomu Monarch, HRM Ovie Dr. R.L Ogbon Ogoni-Oghoro I (JP), RDN, Royal Canon, OON, Ph.D, the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, reverse the change of Olomu School before the prayer day could hold.

The issue of the change of Olomu Secondary School Otorere-Olomu to Ogbon College Otorere-Olomu have generated a lot of controversies, crisis and led to the Women peaceful protest on November 12, 2020.

The women appealed to the Delta State Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, rescind it’s decision because the issue might degenerate to Communal Clashes and mayhem.

When Contacted the Chief Press Secretary to the Delta State Government, Mr. Olisa Ifeajika, decline comment stating that it is education matter, contact the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education.
