Nigerian singer, Charles Chibueze Chukwu, popularly known as Crayon, has claimed that his senior colleague, Tiwa Savage, introduced him to ‘Backy’ in 2018.
City News reports that ‘Backy’ is a blend of illicit drugs like cannabis, tramadol, codeine, or rohypnol rolled into a blnt.
Speaking in a recent interview with Nigerian streamer, Caterefe, Crayon said Tiwa Savage asked if he smoked, and he replied affirmatively, and she handed him the ‘Backy’.
Crayon, who was previously signed to Mavin Records, explained that after the encounter with Tiwa Savage, he became addicted to ‘Backy’.
The singer also opened up about his relationship with Tiwa Savage, revealing that he used to have a massive crush on her.
He said, “Tiwa Savage was my crush in 2018, she gave me my first Backy. She asked me if I smoked. I said yes mama I smoke, and she handed it to me. Since then, I started smoking Backy.”
Meanwhile, Nigerian producer cum recording artist, Samuel Oguachuba, better known as Samklef, recently mocked Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, over the social media outburst of Crayon.
Crayon, in a series of posts, accused Don Jazzy of stealing his star, stressing that the music label was responsible for his mother’s death.
Crayon also vowed to bring the record label down.
Reacting, Samklef linked Crayon’s outburst to Don Jazzy’s recent association with social media activist, VeryDarkMan (VDM).
According to him, since Don Jazzy started associating with VDM, Mavin Records artists have struggled to maintain momentum in their careers.
Samklef questioned whether the situation was a case of karma, pointing out that Ayra Starr appeared stressed in her latest video.
