The Governor also launched the State Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Policy (WASH) and declared a state of emergency on the WASH sector in the State. A new video of kidnapped students of Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Kaduna state has been released by their abductors. The video shot at night showed the kidnapped students taking turns to speak to a camera. The video showed one of the abducted students appear to be pregnant. Ahead of the Federal Government’s restart of the digital switch over (DSO) programme, stakeholders in the Nigerian broadcasting industry have warned that Nigerians may have to pay as high as N50,000 for a Set-Top-Box (STB), the device needed to convert analogue television signal to digital. Anambra State Government has imposed curfew in 6 communities following the killing of about 9 persons. This is few hours after gunmen attacked Igbariam community in Oyi Local Government Area in the late hours of Monday. Armed gunmen have kidnapped one person in Pegi community in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory. The Abduction is coming less than a month after another resident of the same community was kidnapped and a ransom of two million naira was paid to secure his release.
