Some bandits were reported to have invaded the LEA Primary School, Kuriga in the troubled Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, kidnapping scores of pupils on Thursday morning. A source, who is a resident of the area, said no fewer than 100 pupils were taken away by the bandits who stormed the town in large numbers. The Ekiti State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Paul Omotoso is dead. Omotoso passed away in the early hours of Wednesday. As of the time this report was filed the cause of his death is still unclear. It was gathered that the late Chairman has not been in the best of health since his kidnapping saga in July 2023. The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced an increase in the bursary allowance for students of Lagos origin from N50,000 to N60,000 and a scholarship grant from N200,000 to N225,000 for both indigene and non-indigene students of the state.
