Uyo – A 40-year-old man, Joshua Kalu Chukwu, has been sentenced to seven years in prison by the Akwa Ibom State High Court, sitting in Uyo over rape of a 12-year-old girl. Presided over by Justice Okon Okon, the court found the accused guilty of sexually exploiting the girl, punishable under the Child Rights Law of Akwa Ibom State. Dr Godwin Oyiwona, Benue Supervisory Commssioner for Health, says cases of Yellow Fever disease have been reported in three Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state. Oyiwona disclosed this at the flag-off of vaccination against yellow fever on Monday in Makurdi.
