The approval came just four hours after Senate President Godswill Akpabio read Tinubu’s letters seeking authorisation during plenary. Former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has alleged that security operatives planned to arrest his elder brother, Bashir, if he had returned to Nigeria for their mother’s burial. El-Rufai claimed the alleged plan was aimed at using Bashir as leverage to force him into negotiations.
